FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

New York, NY (September 3, 2014) – Sweet’N Low®, America’s iconic zero calorie sweetener, and Dr. Keri Peterson, a prominent New York-based physician, have joined forces on a health education campaign aimed at helping consumers make healthy lifestyle choices. The campaign kicks off this summer and will focus on easy ways to substitute sugar and cut unwanted calories from one’s diet without sacrificing sweetness.

Sweet’N Low® will tap into Dr. Peterson’s medical expertise and vast experience as a physician to guide consumers looking to lower their sugar intake and make important lifestyle changes. Dr. Peterson will be working on behalf of Sweet’N Low® and will share key health information and tips through various communication vehicles including informational videos, social media, and traditional media outreach.

"I am thrilled to partner with Sweet’N Low® to help educate consumers on ways to adopt a healthier lifestyle, including better managing their weight” said Dr. Peterson. “With 2 in 3 Americans classified as ‘overweight’, consumers need to be made aware of ways to safely manage their weight in order to prevent much serious diseases, such as diabetes, down the road".

With degrees from Cornell University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Peterson has been in private practice since 1999 and holds appointments at Lenox Hill Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Peterson is a regular contributor on health and medical topics to The Today Show and has appeared on The Rachael Ray Show, The Tyra Banks Show, Good Morning America, America’s Newsroom, Fox 5 News, and CNN American Morning, among others.

"Dr. Keri Peterson’s efforts to help educate and encourage Americans to make small yet significant changes in their diets to live healthier lifestyles, aligns remarkably well with our goals as a company and as responsible citizens of the vast communities affected by these health issues” said Steven Eisenstadt, President and CEO of Cumberland Packing Corp., the manufacturer of Sweet’N Low®. “We look forward to working with Dr. Peterson on this campaign and leveraging her great expertise to bring consumers tips and information that will help foster good dietary decisions."
